Club Shirts
Would you like a club Shirt? All you need to do is buy a new shirt, don’t wash it and get it to either Helen or Tracey ASAP. If you’re coming to CCC this Friday I will collect them there. If we could have your shirt by the end of this month [May] we can get them to the printer as a group. The process is a heat press print which works well on polo shirts or cotton like in the photos. The design colours can be changed to suit both light and dark shirts. You also have the option of having ‘Mackay’s Fun and enthusiastic camera club’ on the back of the shirt. The print costs are $8 for just the front or $16 for front and back. Put your shirt in a bag clearly marked with your name and CASH in a ziplock bag. Email me at: outings@creativeshots.com so I have an idea of those who are interested.

Dumbleton Weir Outing Postponed
Unfortunately, all this rain has turned the paddocks at Wendy’s to mud making it unsuitable for the planned outing later this month. The grass also at the weir is too long for us to venture in safely.
Luckily, we’ve had plenty on this month with the PSQ and Finch Hatton. Don’t forget Friday 24 May is a CCC catch up at Roots Cafe Sarina. Time to be discussed at the meeting Wednesday night.

April outing and CCC.
The April outing to Finch Hatton will be combined with this month’s CCC meet. Mitch is intending to camp at the Finch Hatton Showgrounds from Wednesday afternoon till Sunday. If you do intend camping over the weekend I recommend you make a booking. There is also Neem Hall camping near by. Most I feel will choose to drive up for a day of photography. ANZAC Day is on the Thursday so I’ve chosen the theme of “History” for the shoot. The CCC meet will be on Saturday with morning tea/lunch at The Criterion Pub. We’ll meet at the pub at 8.30 am, head out to take photos, and meet back at the pub at 10.30 am.
There are some great “History” shots to be found around Finch Hatton including old buildings, machinery, railway tracks and the Anzac Day march. Please let me know if you intend coming by email or at the club meeting. outings@creativeshots.com

Excellent Adventure.
Trish has arranged an Excellent Adventure to Kyokushin Karate International in North Mackay. It may be a great opportunity for performance photos or good action shots. The club meets in a hall in Bundesen Street, North Mackay. There are two time slots with Juniors from 5:30pm to 6:30 and Seniors 6:30 to 8pm. Trish will be there from 5:30.
Please let me know if you intend coming, so we have an idea of numbers. outings@creativeshots.com

Woodturners Outing.
Just an update on our Woodturners outing. Unfortunately, the Sunday has had to be postponed. I have notified all those people who were coming on the Sunday. For Tuesday we will meet at 9 o’clock outside the building in Snow Wright Court, North Mackay. Please remember to wear closed in shoes. I have no idea how many turners will be there as it is a bit of potluck who turns up on the day. Have a chat and ask permission before taking any photographs. They have a break around 10 for morning tea. Thank you to those who have said they will bring something along. I would recommend bring your own cup for tea or coffee.

Mackay Woodturners
Our March outing is to the Mackay Woodturners. This group is made up of very talented artists who create pieces from bowls to toys and jewelry. I have spread this outing over two days to accommodate more people. The dates are Tuesday 5th and Sunday 10th of March.
The woodturners are open between 9 and 12 o’clock. Depending on our numbers I may have to allocate times to people. It’s a fairly big space, but we don’t want to be getting in each other’s way. More importantly we don’t want to crowd the artists at work. Please listen to any instructions from the turners as it may be for safety reasons. There is also some old timber cutting equipment at the back of the building. You must wear closed in shoes for this outing.
I thought it might be nice for us to bring morning tea to share with the turners. Please let me know if you can help with this.
It is very important that I get definite numbers for this outing. RSVP by this Friday 1 March with your preferred day. I already have a number of people for Tuesday. Respond to: outings@creativeshots.com.au
